If your little kitty has ever had an accident on the carpet you probably know the odor left behind is quite awful. Cat urine itself is protein rich which gives it its terrible odor. If you have a cat then its almost a guarantee at some point the kitty has had an accident on the furniture. In my own case its rarely an accident as the little rascal thinks he is marking his territory. Removing cat urine stains and odor from upholstery is no fun so I wanted to give you a few tips that I’ve found helpful when I am cleaning up around my own house.

Removing cat urine before it happens…
As pet owners we are a unique breed. We love our animals as though they are one of our family members but being a pet owner comes with its own challenges. Perhaps the toughest thing to deal with can be when our animals don’t behave as we wish they would. Training cats can be especially hard. One problem that we had around our house was the cats not using the litter box. As fairly new pet owners my wife and I really were too sure about removing cat urine.
